A jury made up of representatives from business development organisations, the Equality Body, the Rhein-Westerwald district Guild of Craftsmen, the Montabaur branch of the Chamber of Commerce and the Montabaur Job Centre recognised the extraordinary commitment shown by the Steuler Group from Höhr-Grenzhausen. The medium-sized enterprise received second prize in the category "family-friendly company". The Panel was impressed by the wide range of measures the Steuler Group offers to enable its employees to satisfactorily balance their work and family life. In addition to individual working hour models, workplace childcare, job sharing and flexible re-entry models following time off for children and sickness, Steuler promotes the personal development and health of its employees. This includes providing language courses, occupational health services, further training, corporate cooking classes and team events.
Also recognised for their family friendliness were Körting Handel und Transport from Moschheim (1st place), and in third place the Forestry Training Centre in Hachenburg.
